I would recommend that you bleach first else your hair will just look tinted red not a vibrant red.I have mid to dark hair and once dyed my hair red and if you wnat a full on vibrant effect i would bleach your hair fisrt. If you have not ever bleached your hair before i would recommend highly that you go to your hair stylist to have your colour and bleaching done as bleaching is very bad for your hair and even worse if you are in experienced.

I found that shade was not all that great to be honest, I tried it years ago and it washed out so quickly. Try Castings or Garnier colours, they are lovely, I am sorry I don't know the shades off the top of my head, but if you check the boxes it should show you a sample of what sort of colour reslut you can expect. Whatever you do, don't bleach your hair then put red on it, it will go orange, bleaching is best left to the professionals.

A good friend of mine had this problem, but it seemed to lessen when he trimmed/ shaved it. Maybe it has to do with sun exposure or, if you use any kind of face wash, what is in that.

It happens..you can pick anything from your last 7 generation of family..Like me I am greek both my parents have black hair and brown eyes..Me I have black hair and LIGHT BLUEYES like my grandmother..People are amazed when they look at me how those light blueyes look on a darkish cacausian skin and black hair..pretty amazing...I can tell..so just think you are special :)

Yes you can go darker, but wait a few weeks, to color over it, go the the hairdresser for a deep-conditioning and trim to get any dryness off the ends.

It is better to go to a salon and have them give you a darker color rather than try to kill your hair by doing it twice.

Unless you wait and then have the salon strip the old color.

You probably really wouldn't be able to notice it until you're under bright lighting where there'd be a red cast to it.

If your hair is really porous, you'll get a small hint of it that will be noticable anywhere, but not likely.

it would still be very dark, but u would have a tinge of red in the light , personally its not worth colouring it. pull chunks out die it blond, then do bright red. black and red is a hot look ...

well, it could turn a yuckey pooish color, so i would suggest dyeing it a lighter brown first and the doing the red. that's what I did and it looks really good on me.

I dyed my hair black from medium brown and no color would take that away. if i tried to put a really red color it was still black with a hint of red but you could only see it in the light.
