Use a Medium Ash Brown Colourant. This will tone down the reds with out making a drastic change to your base colour. And When hair has grown have a trim.

get sound advise from a hairdresser, don't go adding more colours, as you'll probably make it worse. My hair is a mess, where I keep messing about with it. good luck

The easiest, cheapest option is to wait and they'll fade and eventually grow out. I'm not being smart - I got the same and did exactly that. After a couple of weeks they were not so red anyway. Meanwhile, I used Revlon coloured mousse to tone them down. If you really hate them though, go to the hairdresser or you risk ending up worse than you started.

you have to basically start again using a colour that matches your own, taking out the red.

Either you cut off all your hair (i dont think you want to), or you die your red highlights back to your natural color.

I had a young girl in my salon this morning who had tried to cover big blotches of blonde (they were supposed to be highlights lol) with a red dye.. the result was pretty horrific.. I ended up dying her hair a level lower than her natural colour, in a nice mocha brown, then ran some copper highlights through the front section.. trimmed off a couple of inches, added a side fringe.. wallah!! new person.. let your hairdresser do it.. safest bet.. if that would work out to expensive, then try a darker shade semi permanent.. if you like it then you could have the permanent version... good luck x

Red colour in your hair always fades faster then other colours. if you dont want to colour over your hair and damage it further then you need to tone it down. wash it with anti dandruff shampoo with strips the colour. head and shoulders are the best.then put a wash in wash out colour on top(wont damage your hair) and make sure you condition it well. hope this helps, good luck!
