Here's what you can do. Go to Walmart and get this non permanent hair dye that Herbal Essences makes. It has no real dye, so it can only darken your hair, but it does NO damage.

Get a brown, copper, or black, put the foam on your hair for 30 minutes, wash it out, and BOOM, your hair is fixed. I've used it, and the darker colors really stay in a long time. Plus, it's only $5.

By the time it starts fading back to red, 8 weeks will have passed, and it will be safe to dye your hair again.

Maybe you can get some spray on hair dye. I'm not sure if redying it would make your hair fall out.

use some deep conditioner for a week or so then your hair should be ok to dye just make sure you dye it the right color and after you do that dont dye it for a while

You should wait atleast a week - your hair needs to breathe. You need to give it time to get repaired again. I used to colour my hair alot before and now my hair is so damaged. I bought this jar of virgin coco hot oil to treat my hair and it works. It made it softer. Wait awhile before you dye again - according to my hairdresser, your hair can fall off if you keep colouring it. Above all, bleach will damage it more and jet black won't do you good as well. Goodluck...and learn from this experience...

If you can't afford the salon, give it a couple of days, then go black or dark brown.

Your hair may get very dry for awhile, but it wont fall out from 2 hairdyes.

hey hun.......its ok i have whatched my mom dye her hair many colors for years!!!!! and well her hair never fail out!!!! but the real question is do you wont your original hair color back or a new one?????? if you want your original hair color than you can bleach your hair!!! and it shouldnt fall out!!!

but if you dont want to dye it again then just let it fade.

You can go over the top of it again with a semi or demi permanent color and shouldn't have any problems. Just don't use permanent color. Then by the time it fades out a bit and you've been conditioning, then you can try permanent. But when you go to do that, I'd highly recommend a salon.

If you put on a medium or dark brown, go with a neutral or even an ash (cool) brown. The ash color will help counteract the red in it a bit, but you'll likely end up with a pretty, dark cherry brown or cherry cola.

No your hair will not fall out what I recommend is that you go brown. My recommendation is using a light ash brown to counteract the red tones in your hair. A great color is the Clairol Hydrience in Light Ash Brown just leave it on your hair for about 30 minutes and watch the unwanted red dissapear. Also what I recommend is using the John Frieda brilliant brunette colorglaze to keep your color vibrant. You will have beautiful Light Brown Hair with warm tones with this advice.

Go to your local beauty school-they can fix it for pretty cheap! If not, wait a day, and tomorrow give it a deep conditioning mask. Then recolor it the next day. The conditioner will help put moisture back into it so it won't fry as bad.

Don't dye it again! It will FRY your hair if you do it so quickly!

FYI- I dye my hair red, and it is EXTREME afterward, but it's very natural-looking after you wash it a few times and some of the dye rinses out. Wait a few weeks, and I bet you'll really like it.
