I want to dye my hair a light, orangey red.?

Now, I just bleached my once blackish brown hair and it turned multiple colors (I knew that it would). The roots and about 3 inches down are a pale yellow, but the rest is pretty close to the color that I want, but a little bit darker. Should I bleach it once more to try and get it one solid color? Or should I just go ahead and dye it the color I want but leave it on the roots a little longer or a little less?

And please don't tell me to have it professionally done or that my hair is going to fall out or how damaging this process will be. I can't afford to have it done professionally and my hair's in pretty good shape....

Hello, I am a stylist. You will want to leave the color in longer where your hair is darker (put the color on darkest to lightest). You should probably have your hair trimmed. If it is long, brush it all in front of your face and trim it your self. If you want it done professionally but you can't afford it, you can go to a hair school and get it done for half the price and have 2 or 3 stylists working on your hair. Your hair will not get messed up- they have teachers that prevent that from happening and they are geniuses. And don't forget to condition. Hope this helps!

i'm not worried about it dying, but if your hair is that light on the ends. it sounds like the ends of your hair are dead dead dead.

you should probably get a hair cut.

well first dye it then get your hair cut.

you probably don't have roots since you just bleached it, so just dye everything the same. but your hair at the ends may take more or less color, depending on how damaged they are.
