It is probably against your school dress code so even if you do convince them then your school will expel you until you conform anyway.

As a mum of 6, I have to tell you that parents will either say yes or no. If you really want it done, then offer them a compromise... maybe using a temporary dye on school holidays? That way it won't affect your school rules, and you still get to do it. At the end of the day though, if they say no you either have to give in and miss out, or cop the punishment if you go against them and do it anyways. Good luck with it. :)
