If you dye it too often, you will damage your hair. Reds fade to brown eventually. When your roots start to show in about 6 weeks, go for a lighter shade.

No, no no. Pick up a clarifying shampoo. It will lift off some of the color. Not much. OR - you can use dish soap (very drying) or nearly any kind of body wash. Just be sure to use plenty of conditioner so your hair doesn't dry out.

You need to counteract the red with comething blue based like a blue black or a blue based brown. Other than that you could try to bleach or lighten it out. That's what they did to my hair when it happened to me.The bleaching it worked enough to put a lighter red over the top.

red mistakes are even worse than black. red fades fastest but takes the longest to completely go away. any color you dye over it now will just look reddish. if you strip the color and dye it with an ash color, it will even out a bit but you can expect it to still be reddish. you might want to go to a salon. red really is the most difficult to deal with

putting light red on your hair now will probably cause it to turn orange. you could use a color remover and start over but these products are very damaging to your hair. the dye will begin to fade over the next two weeks so you might find it best to just wait it out. if you do decide to remove the color and start over, be sure to give your hair a deep conditioning before and after the process and be really careful with it when you style over the next few weeks.

whetever you do don't do it!!!! trust me it won't come out right at all. Next time you have the money go to a stylest and get it stripped. Then take in a picture of the hair color you want. self dye jobs aren't the way to go... Believe me leave it to the professionals. And don't go to a wal-mart salon they screw it up too.

I dyed my hair black once and bought some stuff by revlon that is a dye lifter. I got it at RiteAid for $10.00. I will take all the color out without damaging your hair.

It will turn your hair a light orange %26amp; white because it will lift all your natural color out also.

But then you just dye your hair again.
