I but henna on my hair how to get red of it?

Henna is a permanent dye, you can use strong shampoos but it will take a while to fade out.

Henna is a natural color conditioner. I don't think that there is anything you can put on it to get rid of it. It will fade. You could try another color, but you will have to be careful not to trigger a color reaction.

Well, Henna dies your hair. My Mom put it on about 3 months ago and it still hasn't come out, but her roots where her is growing is the original color of her hair. I am not really sure, but i think it will eventually come out. Oh, By the way, the color changes whithin the week that you put it on. My moms hair looked brown with a tint of green, but now it is all brown.

Good Luck!!

You can't get it out but you can dye over it. I would go to a salon though just in case, they would have a better idea of what to do with it. Otherwise you just have to let it grow out.

if you've tried shampooing and scrubbing it, and it STILL doesn't come out, just leave it. It will fade within a couple of weeks or so.

Henna is not a dye, it is a stain. That said, there is a color remover that should be on the box. I have instructions from Light Mountain Natural in front of me that says:

For light hair:

1/2 cup cream rinse/condition in a tub of Crystal Light Lemonade. Apply to hair, cover w/ plastic %26amp; a towel, apply heat if desired. In 45 minutes shampoo to see effects.

For dark hair:

Equal parts baking soda and dark molasses, same application and heat treatment.

Might not work so well on light hair or if it has been more than 24 hours. Good luck!

Henna is a natural permanent hair dye, it bonds with the hair shaft and the only way to get rid of it is to:

a) chop off the hennaed bits

b) wait for it to grow out

c) wash with ctirusy shampoos (the acids in lemons etc help fade colour) but this will still take a long time as the colour will gradually fade out.

d) go to a professional salon and bleach your hair. Now you have to remember, this is the last resort alternative because bleach is bad for the hair and see the components of the bleach and the henna can react and you'll get some undesirable colours.

e) re-henna with another colour.

Personally I a henna fan, so I'd advise that you re-henna with another colour and do not resort to bleaching as it can be making a bad situation even worse. LUSH sell various hennas (black, red, brown and red-brown/chestnutty) coloured henna, so you can give them a visit and choose another colour to go over that. Also remember that there's fake henna out there, so if it says it's for any other colour apart from red, don't buy it because it's fake!

The LUSH hennas come premixed with either indigo or things like coffee, rosemary etc and that's what gives it different colours.

Hope this helps.
