but seriously.. remember that that hair is thicker than your face so you need to be CAREFUL, don't just go scraping... and use shaving cream and after shave balm (NOT aftershave... OWWWW!). and then balm or lotion for the next few days.. plus your area isn't used to it.. it'll get less agitated every time you do it..

Always use a new, super-sharp razor. And shave with the grain of hair, not against it. It grows back faster but you'll be more comfortable. And, of course when the time to shave rolls around again, use a handcloth or loofah or something to GENTLY exfoliate the area, which lets you get the closest shave possible.

Or, you could wax. *shrug*

I stopped shaving because I hated the red bumps. Now I use Nair or Veet. I'm usually pretty smooth for a few weeks after using it.
